White House Throws Clinton Under The Bus; Hillary Strikes Back

Once again we are playing ‘Pin The Blame On Someone Else’.

There has been a clash going on in Washington D.C. over the facts of the terrorist attack in Benghazi.  Details have come out on the events that lead up to the tragedy that killed four Americans, including the ambassador to Libya.  It is reported that the U.S. consulate in Benghazi made around 13 requests for more security in the days leading up to the attack on September 11th, the anniversary of the horrific terrorist attacks on the United States.

After the attack there was a rush to say what had happened.  The White House and ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice made claims that the attack was not premeditated and was caused by protest due to an anti-film made by a man in California.  A week or so later, details emerged that the attack had been premeditated, but the White still was blaming it on the Youtube video.

At first when news broke, they blamed the mistake on the intelligence community, saying that they had reported the information that they were given.  And then recently they have laid blame of the attacks on the State Department, and most notably Hillary Clinton since she is in charge of that department.  Susan Rice was also following the administrations lead, still furthering the story that it was caused by a video and that it was the fault of the State Department.

Mrs. Clinton has not responded well to the turn of events, and has turned on the president.  In a recent report she separates U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice from her State Department, and instead says that Rice was selling the message, and following orders, from the White House, not from the State Department.  Clinton goes on to say that they (the State Department) never felt it was a movie that caused the Benghazi attack:

The State Department’s insistence it never bought the story – expressed by the White House and Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations – that a crude anti-Islam film made in California triggered the attack gives ammunition against Obama both to the Romney campaign and congressional Republicans.

State Department sources have said that Clinton has never forgotten that Rice, who served in her husband Bill’s administration, was an early supporter of Obama. Rice has ambitions to take over from Clinton if Obama is re-elected but the Benghazi debacle could scupper her chances.

In a briefing on Tuesday, State Department officials said ‘others’ in the executive branch concluded initially that the attack was part of a protest against the film, which ridiculed the Prophet Muhammad. That was never the State Department’s conclusion, reporters were told.

This turn of events has also outraged Hillary’s husband and former president Bill Clinton.

I feel that this was a bad mistake on Pres. Obama‘s part.  Out of all of the people that he could have chosen, he picked the worst.  The Clinton’s do not respond well to attacks and this will not help the president just weeks out from election day.  And it is known that Hillary Clinton will not return as Secretary of State, win or lose.  Come election night she is gone.

I’m wondering, along with others, if Hillary will do something to ensure Obama’s loss.  It is a long shot, but after all that has happened people think that she might do something that will cause Pres. Obama to lose the election to Mitt Romney.

And what would Hillary get out of causing Pres. Obama to lose the election?  The Democrat party nomination for president in 2016.
