UPDATE: Catholic Organization Helps To Make Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day A Success

Earlier this week I wrote an article talking Chick-fil-A appreciation day and how the Apostolate for Family Consecration was getting involved.  This article is to give an update on the event.

The initial announcement on Sunday was met with a loud round of applause.  Everybody was excited to get the chance to support Chick-fil-A and be able to stay on the grounds.  By Tuesday afternoon, when we were collecting and counting all of the orders, nearly everyone, over 800 people, had ordered from Chick-fil-A.

A few of the summer staff left early Wednesday morning to pick up the large order.  When they got to the Robinson mall location, a little outside of the city of Pittsburgh, the place was pretty much packed.  The order that was picked amounted to roughly around $2,000 worth of Chick-fil-A food.

The food made it back to Catholic Familyland a little later than scheduled, due to the large crowd of people at the location, but people were still extremely excited.  And they supported a great cause.

A ton of other locations around the country were crowded and had people lining up around the building, waiting to get in, and there cars lined up waiting to get into the parking lot itself.

Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day was a resounding success.  And I was happy to have been a part of it.
