The senate candidate, Elizabeth Warren, who is attempting to unseat one term candidate senator Scott Brown, has run into more problems.
After a campaign event she held recently in the SEIU 1199 offices in Dorchester, she fled the event as she attempted to evade reporters. Two of her campaign staffers slammed two stairwell doors in the reporters faces. Then Warren herself slammed her car door shut and made a haste retreat as reporters stood around hoping to talk to embattled candidate. – Video of the retreat here.
Warren’s problem is that she has claimed to be 1/32 native American through her mother’s side. Her only proof, is that her mother told her so.
The biggest controversy in her supposed lie is that she claimed to be native American when she was a student at law school, and when she applied for the position as a professor to Harvard Law School. It is not known if that was the reason in why Harvard hired her, but the school did tout her as being the only native American professor on their staff.
Then when Sen. Browns election campaign started to attack her on it, she attempted to twist into a ‘war on women’ issue, which failed. Now she seems to be saying that he is attacking her family since it was her mother that told her. That attempt will also probably fail.
She continues to make things worse by running away from reporters. If you made a decision, then you have to deal with the consequences of your actions.
One of her campaign related problems, is it appears no Democrats from around the country will be coming to her aid. It appears that this is something that nobody feels comfortable in defending.
This could be one of the reasons that she could lose the election to win the senate seat in November.
