U.S. House of Representatives Votes To End Funding of NPR

Just today the House of Representatives have voted on the funding of the National Public Radio company.  On a vote of 228-192, they have chosen to end government funding for NPR.

In light of the past events involving NPR, including the firing of Juan Williams on account of his comment against terrorists in October of last year.  And most recently they have chosen to give their support to the Muslim Brotherhood, and have spoken some nasty things against the Tea Party.

I personally see this is a good move.  Not only does it end un-needed spending, but NPR does not deserve the money anyways.  They are a company much like Fox or CNN, and those companies receive no government funding.  This makes the playing field fairer in the long run.  Making NPR like all other news outlets and not trying to raise them to some higher standard by giving them government support.  Although they will still remain a machine of the liberal agenda,  but with far less money.

I support this vote because I find it wrong to use the tax payer dollars to fund a company that most of side against.  The tax payers hard earned money has been abused long enough, and it’s time to end it.

And with un-needed spending having to be ended, I hope they choose to end funding to another company that has been involved in their own controversy.  Planned Parenthood.
